Specifications:
KC1000 NVMe PCIe SSD
Exceptional performance for NVMe-enabled systems.
The Kingston KC1000 SSD is a high-performance solution based on PCIe NVMe ™, which is more than 2x faster than SSAs with SATA interface and 40x faster than conventional hard drives with 7200 rpm *. Using a PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface and an 8-channel Phison PS5007-E7 controller, this drive is capable of offering 8 cores and 2x DRAM memory, helping demanding users get through the pitfalls of difficult projects with high-speed data transfers of up to 2500 MB / s *.
The KC1000 uses native operating system controllers and complies with the NVMe 1.2 standard, allowing users to take full advantage of the high throughput, IOPS and low latency available to an NVMe-enabled system. This protocol was designed specifically to support Flash disks, unlike SATA, which was designed for traditional rotating-disk disks. This removes the bottleneck and allows the system to access the device immediately once the SSD is installed.
The KC1000 is easily installed in a standard M.2 or PCI Express slot using the M.2 2280, or a half-height, half-length add-on card, increasing flexibility for use by system manufacturers. There is a range of capacities from
240 GB to 960 GB **. The KC1000 comes with a five-year limited warranty *** and legendary Kingston support.
• High-performance next-generation SSD with PCIe NVMe interface
• NVMe - designed for SSDs, not older data storage
• Different sizes allow installation in a wide range of systems
* Based on the performance of a common factory component using a SATA Rev. 3.0. Speed may vary depending on hardware, software and usage. Random read / write using IOMETER Random 4k technology is based on the use of an 8 GB partition.
** Part of the stated capacity of the flash memory device is used for formatting and other functions and is therefore not available for storage space. For this reason, the actual capacity available for data storage is lower than the capacity indicated on the products. For more information, see the Kingston Flash Memory Guide at kingston.com/flashguide.
*** 5-year limited warranty, or "Remaining" SSD life, which can be determined from Kingston SSD Manager (kingston.com/SSDManager) The new, unused product will have a wear indicator value of one hundred (100), while the product will have a wear indicator value of one (1) at the end of its lubrication cycle resistance limit, see kingston.com/wa for details.
