Introducing the Turris Omnia 5G Kit

At Turris, we are always looking for ways to empower our users with the latest technology, and we're excited to announce our latest upgrade: the Turris Omnia 5G Kit! This new kit will allow you to unlock 5G capabilities on your existing Turris Omnia router, bringing faster speeds and improved connectivity to your home or office network.

What’s Inside the 5G Kit?

The Turris Omnia 5G Kit comes with everything you need to connect your Omnia router to a 5G network. It includes:

• 4 pigtails of various lengths
• 4 5G antennas
• 1 heatsink
• 1 mPCIe to M.2 adapter
• 1 metal riser
• 1 5G modem
• A new top cover with extra holes for the antennas

All that’s left for you to provide is a SIM card from your preferred telco operator.

Supported Devices

The 5G kit is compatible with all Turris Omnia models released between 2016 and 2020, as well as all NO Wi-Fi and 4G versions.

Please note that due to the number of antennas, this kit is not officially supported on Turris Omnia Wi-Fi 6.

Important Installation Information

The 5G upgrade requires some hardware installation that involves connecting various components inside your router. While it does require a bit of manual dexterity, we're confident that most of our community members who enjoy tinkering with technology will be up to the task. Detailed installation instructions will be provided to guide you through the process.
